Vera Simms

Vera Sims is a New Orleans native born June 8,1973. A high school graduate from Picayune High School in 1991. College graduate from Walden University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. A mother of three beautiful girls. I started out singing in the church choir at the tender age of 5 and have continued to sing solos my home Little Zion Baptist church of New Orleans La. Due to the damage of hurricane Katrina I relocated to Birmingham Al for nearly 10 years. I have sang for countless wedding ceremonies, comedy shows, parties. I had the opportunity to sing in the stage play “Church Mess” in Birmingham Al and Miami Florida. This January, I was honored to sing as one of the Raelettes in “An Evening With Ray” under the direction of the talented Sam Warren as he graces the stage as Ray. I also graciously had the opportunity to play the role of one of the church ladies in the stage play “The Color Purple” in the Cutting Edge Theatre and sang in tribute shows and music shows such as Aretha Franklin tribute show and the Vintage Vogue show. I’m excited to be the princess that kissed the frog in “Disenchanted” coming this April.
