Vera Sims is a New Orleans native born June 8,1973. A high school graduate from Picayune High School in 1991. College graduate from Walden University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. A mother of three beautiful girls Joy, Janae, and Jamyla. I started out singing in the church choir at the tender age of 5 and have continued to sing solos my home Little Zion Baptist church of New Orleans La. Due to the damage of hurricane Katrina I relocated to Birmingham Al where I joined Olivet Monumental Baptist Church where I continued to sing solos and background in the choir for nearly 10 years. I have sang for countless wedding ceremonies, comedy shows, parties. I had the opportunity to sing in the stage play “Church Mess” in Birmingham Al and Miami Florida. I am a Financial Aid Counselor at Northshore Technical Community College for 3 years. I also currently teach a line dance class in Picayune Ms called Vee Vee’s Line dance class since October 2017. I so graciously had the opportunity to play the role of one of the church ladies in the stage play “The Color Purple” in the Cutting Edge Theatre. I am especially excited about the Vintage Vogue show. I have grown to love Ms Kitty Wilton Strikmiller. Thank you for seeing the talent in me.
