Aaron “Black Magic” Turnipseed


Aaron “Black Magic” Turnipseed is excited for the opportunity to Music Direct at Cutting Edge Theater. Native of Baton Rouge, Aaron graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University earning his Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Music Performance and Visual Arts. As a musician, he has been a featured performer for the Alcorn State, Bill Evans, and New Orleans Jazz Festivals. Aaron was appointed Musical Director for the following: A Chorus line, Chicago, Zombie Prom, Mary Poppins, Beauty and The Beast, 13, A my name is Alice, You’re a good man Charlie Brown, and the award winning musical The Color Purple. As an actor, he earned the leading roles in A Chorus line, South Pacific, Little Shop of Horrors, and A funny thing happened on the way to the forum. Aaron serves as the Director of Choral Studies and Instrumental lessons at Istrouma Middle Magnet. Aaron would like to thank
